Mark has a BetterHelp therapist!
"Best decision I ever made was to get an online therapist. I can relax in my home, on my couch and I'm comfortable. I kick back in a safe environment and the troubles just flow out of me. It's so refreshing. It's like a shower for your soul."

(UPDATED 12APR20) This page isn't fancy. I (Mark J Lindquist) threw this together in the midst of a global pandemic after Mayor Tim Mahoney of Fargo, ND told me that the nonprofits in our area were really going to be hurting. So, start where you are, use what you have, do what you can. That's my mantra, as learned from Arthur Ashe. (*501c3 status pending; we have started the process to get our mission approved for tax-exempt 501c3 status as of 4.9.20)

Here's what I'm doing and here's how you can help.

What I'm doing:

It's like a Jerry Lewis Telethon. Actually, it's more like a marathon. It's a professional fundraising machine that is raising micro donations (Suggested $6 donation. 6 years is the term of enlistment most of my Air Force buddies who are helping me with this - we all enlisted for 6 years.) Nobody is very certain about the future right now, especially when it comes to money. But we all know that we need to support our local nonprofits, otherwise a lot of people are going to fall through the cracks in our society. Please give sensibly.

I have a ridiculous rolodex. I know people all over sports and entertainment because of this crazy life I've lived. So, I'm leveraging this vast global network for good and we're streaming live to do as much good as possible in the world.
We will run programming M-F and end each day with the National Anthem. It's free. Throughout the day, guests from Nashville, Hollywood, Vegas, Broadway and the motivational speaking world will come on and share perspective, teach us how to engage and use their performance skills to better communicate via video chat. They will share their successes, failures, and tips about living life. This is a source of relentless positivity in the world. Please donate $6 at a time. www.markjlindquist.com

I see my friends getting a little restless and we're making the slow descent into insanity... (haha) and we need something to distract us from the day to day. I think we could all use a little motivational speaker in our ear and head right now. I'll do my best to deliver a positive and uplifting message to you and I'll do it as a public mental wellness service. :)

We're here to be a healthy distraction for you.

Honestly, we don't care if 12 people watch or 12,000. The right people will watch who need a brain break from the craziness in the world today.

So, I'm offering my network to the world. I have been so blessed to meet some talented and successful people on life's journey and I've called in all the favors and many of my performer pals have volunteered to pitch in with this fundraising initiative.

I have partnered with incredible Nashville artists like Ryan Daniel, who is an Air Force Veteran in the Indie Music Hall of Fame and recorded the 2019 Indie Music Album of the Year. I work with J Rome who won ABC's Duets. My mentor is Edward Lee Jones who has produced 21 world tours and has performed with Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan, Luther Vandross and Bob Hope. My good buddy Wayne Messmer who sings for the Chicago Cubs full time is coming on the show. I've got the best sports psychologist in the land, Cindra Kamphoff, who took Adam Thielen from a practice squad to a $60+ million dollar contract. We have my buddy Joe Schmit from KSTP in Minneapolis, winner of 18 Emmys... and we're working to book a few NFL and Hollywood contacts for the future. My guests are entertainers, speakers, public figures, and business people. On this network you'll see us highlight our nonprofit friends, my small business friends, and my gig economy friends who all need a hand up right now.

I'm fortunate enough to not need money for a few months. So, I'm not taking a dime from the donated dollar. I have invited over 10 local midwestern mayors around my old hometown of Fargo to look at my books and make sure that every dollar goes to the cause. BNG and the incredible team Brady Nash has put together over there is watching every dollar and will help the community ensure that the money is going to where we say it is going. Follow us @thevetsmedia

What's the cause? Gig economy workers who lost their income. I'm going to employ them. I take no pay or commission for that. Nonprofits in Minnesota and North Dakota will benefit because The Honorable Tim Mahoney told me that the nonprofits were really going to suffer and they need our help. Small Businesses in Minnesota and North Dakota will get a chance to come on the network and highlight what they do. We'll raise money with micro donations that the vast majority of the population can participate in.

So this is my plan. Every dollar that comes in as a donation that hour goes to the guest host (who has lost income due to this Pandemic), local nonprofits, small businesses, and healthcare workers and organizations, and the creatives who run the network as editors, tech support and social media gurus.

Obviously, we're fine with you going directly to the nonprofits and donating there. This is just my way of helping those in my industry.

Health and happiness,
Mark

Erikah Ava Thomas

Erikah Ava Thomas  is a USAF veteran born and raised in Anniston, AL. Before her military career, Erikah attended Oxford High School in Alabama. Prior to graduating class of 2004 she was inducted into the Alabama Vocal association All State Choirs from eighth grade to her senior year, with 10th-12th grade having been in dual SATB and Show choirs. While serving the country from 2006-2012, Erikah was a comm/nav mission systems maintainer on c130s, but that didnt stop her from singing with the Air Force's premier entertainment troupe Tops in Blue. She completed two world tours, 2008 as a featured dancer and 2011 as vocal captain and featured soloist before honorably separating and moving to NYC to persue performing arts. A BFA graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Erikah originated the role of Smitty in the off off Broadway production of Making of a Team by Cilque Chavis. Erikah currently resides inn Phoenix, AZ where she is one of the founding members of Veteran Charity Benefits and The VETS Media.

(And, Erikah is the most beautiful human you've ever met - on the inside and out. I would lay down on the tracks for Erikah. I can't wait until the world knows her, she's destined to be famous.) From, me. :)

April Vollm
U.S. Air Force Veteran, currently working in telecom keeping our communication networks up and running so we can do all the interneting we want! Stay safe April and we are doing everything we can from home to support you and the essential workers nationwide!

Jarrod Burton

Jarrod Burton just recently finished his US Air Force Reserve commitment in March of 2020 and is still serving his country through this effort. He is a true Patriot and we don't know anyone who loves his country, its people, and what it stands for than Burton. He is a pretty awesome guy but he cheers for a really bad football team so that makes it kinda hard to be around him on Sundays. Also, Mark will always be one step ahead of him. This kinda makes Jarrod mad, but Mark runs this website so I guess this will be on the internet for... forever. :) #MarkStrikesAgain

Edward Lee Jones

Edward Lee Jones (Son of Josephine Jones) of the Natchez, Mississippi Joneses. USAF Veteran, Our Mentor, Performance Director and Spiritual Guide. None of us Veterans would have met were it not for Edward; we owe him everything and we wouldn't be doing any of this good work without you!

We Love You Edward!
We Love Your Josephine!
