Mark J. Lindquist is Honored as the 2nd Place Male Vocalist in the United States Air Force for 2011 Staff Sergeant Mark J. Lindquist came away with some hardware at the 2011 Worldwide Talent Contest held at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas this past week. Lindquist, shown below, was awarded the 2nd place trophy for a male vocalist in the United States Air Force this year. His selection does not guarantee his placement on the 2011 Tops In Blue World Tour, as the organization values attributes beyond that of talent on stage as they seek to assemble a team of 34 Airmen who will best represent the United States of America and the US Air Force around the globe. Lindquist's rendition of "The Way You Look Tonight" shined among the other contestants as he and fellow Airman Landon Johnson picked up hardware at this year's talent competition. Tops In Blue Holds Another Successful Talent Competition The United States Air Force has been hosting Worldwide Talent Competitions for the last 60 years, and this year Staff Sergeant Mark J. Lindquist competed in the talent show. In the coming weeks the contestants will hear about their selection to the 2011 Tops in Blue World Tour.
